Staff DevOps Engineer — Developer Infrastructure - CANADA

Luxury Presence is building an AI growth platform for real estate, serving over 90,000 professionals and backed by top investors. They are hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to develop a self-service infrastructure platform that enhances automation, security, and developer experience.

Location: Canada

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the self-service infrastructure platform, including CI/CD pipeline, GitOps-based delivery, IaC module catalog, and scaffolding for new services.
• Make agents first-class developers by generalizing agent isolation patterns into reusable platform primitives.
• Own the validation platform and quality gate frameworks, including ephemeral PR environments and testing frameworks.
• Build internal tooling, observability, and metrics dashboards to improve pipeline observability and throughput.

Requirements

• Staff-level ownership in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE, with experience building and operating production platforms at scale.
• Active use of AI development tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) in infrastructure workflows.
• Deep Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS experience (IAM, VPC, ECR, SSM/Secrets Manager, S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora).
• Strong IaC (Terraform) and GitOps experience, including PR-driven workflows and ArgoCD.
• Identity, access, and policy-as-code experience (SPIFFE/SPIRE, OIDC, Vault).
• Proven track record building self-service developer platforms, ephemeral environments, CLIs, scaffolding tools, or internal portals.
• CI/CD expertise (GitHub Actions), including caching, artifact management, and observability.
• Cost-awareness in platform design.
• Excellent cross-team communication skills.
