Staff Product Engineer (Campinas)

LawnStarter is a leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, expanding into a broader home services platform, with a focus on building innovative solutions using AI and a collaborative engineering environment.

Location: Remote (Brazil, Campinas)

Salary: USD $80,000–$100,000 annual base

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical approach including architecture, data model, integration, rollout, observability, and rollback strategies.
• Ensure implementation quality through prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review loops for AI agents.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and engineering peers, and communicate regularly with engineering management.
• Own the outcome of initiatives, including post-launch review and impact measurement.
• Maintain high standards for production correctness, security, performance, observability, and user experience.

Requirements

• Experience with AI-native tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent.
• Leadership experience in making technical decisions, shipping complex features, and owning outcomes.
• Outcome-driven mindset with a focus on metrics and impact.
• Strong collaboration skills with product managers, designers, and engineering teams.
• Decisiveness in architecture, data modeling, and rollout decisions, with documentation.
• Ability to leave reusable artifacts like workflows, evals, runbooks, and reviews.
• Customer- and pro-focused mindset.
