Technical Lead, Product Certification Cybersecurity

BSI is expanding its technical leadership in product certification cybersecurity to help clients meet current and upcoming global cybersecurity requirements for connected products and services. The role involves driving research, development, and launch of cybersecurity certification services for connected consumer, industrial, and medical products, as well as digital identity and trust service providers.

Location: Europe, home based with travel

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for PC cybersecurity schemes, providing technical thought leadership for product cybersecurity certification.
• Represent BSI in technical and industry forums for PC cybersecurity.
• Lead cybersecurity regulations and frameworks assessment activities.
• Research and identify new potential business areas for BSI PC cybersecurity strategy.
• Support certification activities to comply with ISO/IEC 17065 requirements, accreditation requirements, and internal quality procedures.
• Support sales teams with technical input for proposals, tenders, and key account discussions.
• Attend trade shows, technical committee meetings, and occasional overseas travel.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of a range of global cybersecurity regulations.
• Practical experience in delivering assessment services for IoT standards such as ETSI EN 303 645, ETSI TS 103 701, EN 18031, IEC 62443, UL2900, eIDAS 2, Digital Wallet.
• Knowledge of CE and UKCA marking and associated frameworks.
• Specific knowledge of Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU and delegated regulation (EU) 2022/30.
• Understanding of conformity assessment processes under ISO/IEC 17065 and experience interacting with ISO/IEC 17025 test laboratories.
