Video Podcast Editor

Betches Media is a digital media and lifestyle platform for women, known for humor and entertainment, with a global community across social media, podcasts, web, events, and e-commerce. Now part of LBG Media, it is expanding its creative media reach.

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $40 - $45 per hour, up to 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Edit longform video podcasts under tight deadlines, applying revisions and working with the Producer to incorporate episode notes.
• Work with the Producer to prepare video podcast episodes for publication on platforms.
• Edit social clips for distribution on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Maximize reach and engagement by creating engaging social clips.
• Manage all aspects of video post-production, including ingesting footage, audio cleanup, color correction, and exporting.
• Edit videos of various lengths and formats according to asset needs.
• Prioritize workflows, follow post-production calendar, and keep projects on schedule in collaboration with the Associate Director and Senior Editor.
• Collaborate with a Producer to align on editorial and creative output.

Requirements

• Experience editing short-form social videos, interviews, and long-form content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.).
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and typography.
• Ability to organize footage, execute final cuts, and manage post-production.
• Knowledge of key framing, multicam editing, and audio post-production.
• Experience working within brand guidelines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stay ahead of social media trends and bring new ideas.
• Previous experience in video editing, media, or graphic design is a plus.
• After Effects and audio engineering experience is a plus.
• Comedic background or interest in comedy is a plus.
