Remote Engagement Ambassador supporting student engagement, academic progress, and social-emotional needs at Volunteer State Virtual Academy, part of K12, a Stride Company, providing online personalized education.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities
- Oversee a caseload of students and serve as their main point of contact.
- Serve as a liaison between students, Learning Coaches, teachers, and administration.
- Contact late starting or missing students to ensure a strong start.
- Monitor academic progress and activity of students.
- Initiate contact with students and Learning Coaches.
- Implement support interventions for students showing signs of academic decline.
- Arrange support conferences to address performance concerns.
- Assist students in creating plans to improve performance.
- Provide outreach, training, and support to families responding to surveys.
- Participate in professional development and state testing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Customer service focus
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Experience with academic clubs and activities
- Familiarity with online learning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web tools
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
- Ability to clear background check
