Consultant (Knowledge Management, Learning and Communications)

WorldFish is an international research organization working to transform aquatic food systems to reduce hunger, malnutrition, and poverty. It collaborates with various partners to develop scientific innovations, policy evidence, and knowledge for inclusive impact, supporting sustainable development goals.
Location: Egypt
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate Project Knowledge Management, Learning and Communications (KMLC) Strategy and Plan, including gender-sensitive messaging.
- Develop a project-specific visual identity with branding guidelines.
- Develop project-generated knowledge and communication products and share through platforms and processes.
- Facilitate exchange of lessons, best practices, and expertise among stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a project website/microsite as a knowledge-sharing hub.
- Disseminate communication and knowledge products through various media and channels.
- Coordinate with project partners for branding compliance and co-develop products and activities.
- Collaborate with WorldFish’s Communications team to align content and identify promotion opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in communications, knowledge management, international development, journalism, fisheries, or related fields.
- 5-8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the Middle East and North Africa region.
- Proven experience in delivering knowledge, communications, and outreach strategies, products, and workshops for donor-funded projects.
- Outstanding writing skills, with experience in communicating science and technology to different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and fluency in English.
- Experience integrating gender and social inclusion.
- Familiarity with fisheries, coastal communities, ocean ecosystems, and environmental issues.
- Experience with GEF, FAO, IFAD, World Bank or similar donors is an asset.
- Working fluency in Arabic is preferable.
