Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy ML models for claims cost prediction, utilization forecasting, fraud detection, risk adjustment, and provider performance optimization.
- Apply modern ML techniques including gradient boosting, deep learning, NLP, and probabilistic modeling.
- Build scalable pipelines for feature engineering, model training, validation, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Experience with healthcare claims datasets and coding systems (CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, DRG, NDC).
- Understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Proven problem-solving skills with minimal guidance.
Additional Information
- This role involves analyzing and interpreting medical, pharmacy, and dental claims.
- Collaboration with clinicians, product managers, and stakeholders is essential.
- Experience with NLP, actuarial concepts, MLOps, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, and healthcare interoperability standards is preferred.
