Mongolian Interpreter

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring bilingual Mongolian-English phone interpreters to provide on-demand interpretation services remotely across various industries, including healthcare, government, and legal sectors. The role involves facilitating communication between Mongolian and English speakers to break language barriers.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $0.75 - $0.90 per minute

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity during sessions.
• Remain calm and professional in emotional or stressful situations.
• Follow client instructions and industry-specific terminology.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.

Requirements

• Fluency in Mongolian and English.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to stay neutral and objective, even with sensitive subjects.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to read and write in the requested languages (highly preferred).
• Must have a dedicated device and high-speed internet.
• Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse, and remain stationary for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 26 lbs.
