Project Manager IoT Multi-Site Retail Installations

Ndustrial is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 6-9 month contract to lead the deployment of hardware and software temperature monitoring solutions for a national retail customer. The role involves managing procurement, logistics, installation, documentation, and vendor coordination to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.

Location: Remote in US (EST or CST), with up to 20% domestic travel

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall project schedule, scope, and budget across a 6-month deployment
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and trackers for internal and customer stakeholders
  • Monitor risks and proactively address and mitigate issues to keep the project on track
  • Partner with PMO and Customer Success leads to prepare for and support customer meetings
  • Develop and update dashboards for weekly project updates with the customer
  • Ensure all project documentation is clear, complete, and customer-ready
  • Coordinate with hardware vendor on procurement, delivery timing, and payment schedules
  • Work with installer partner to manage deployment schedules, address field issues, and ensure timely execution
  • Verify close-out documentation for all sites and drive alignment with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Track and validate vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Ensure deployment process is efficient, well-documented, and scalable
  • Drive collaboration across internal teams to resolve challenges quickly
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, accountability, and professionalism in all deliverables
  • Recommend best practices for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in large-scale deployments (3,000+ sites)
  • Proven success managing large-scale, prototype-based installations in retail, commercial, or industrial environments
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting, and metrics for nationwide or multi-site rollouts
  • Experience supporting IoT and/or hardware-enabled SaaS solutions (preferred)
  • Strong background in procurement, logistics, or vendor management
  • Experience coordinating with hardware vendors and field installation teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Google Suite
  • Experience managing budgets, invoices, and project financials
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work full-time for 6-9 months
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
