Senior GCP Engineer specializing in AI & Agentic systems within Google Cloud, responsible for building scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for enterprise AI applications.

Location: Canada

Salary: $114k–$180k

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining production-grade microservices and APIs
• Implementing and optimizing complex prompt templates
• Productionizing AI systems using Cloud Run, GKE, and Vertex AI Agent Engine

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on backend development
• 3+ years of experience building applications on Google Cloud Platform
• Expert proficiency in Python and/or Go
• Deep hands-on experience with Gemini (Pro/Flash), Vertex AI SDKs, Prompt Engineering, and Function Calling
• Familiarity with building RAG-based systems
