Senior Payroll Associate - Ophthalmology

The position involves processing payroll and personnel transactions, advising on payroll issues, and ensuring compliance with payroll and HR policies, primarily supporting academic and nonacademic staff.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $21.17 - $32.85 / Hourly

Responsibilities

• Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues.
• Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel.
• Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms. May provide general orientation for new employee.
• Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas.
• Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening.
• May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel.
• Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary.
• Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department.
• May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process.
• May assist in annual budget process.
• Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR’s reports.
• Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan.

Requirements

• Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Relevant Experience (3 Years)
