Software Engineer I

The Software Engineer I at Fullbay is an entry-level role focused on designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software modules under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves understanding problems, developing solutions, and engaging with stakeholders to meet project requirements in a collaborative environment.

Location: Remote

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000/yr

Responsibilities

• Design system architecture, layout of services, APIs, backend and frontend changes, considering options and long-term impact with support from senior engineers.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and well-commented code that meets performance, scalability, security, accessibility, and localizability standards.
• Develop and test software, including unit and feature tests, and address bugs throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with peers through code reviews, incorporate feedback, and ensure code quality and adherence to guidelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks, solve ambiguous problems, and make tradeoffs for short-term delivery and long-term maintainability.
• Drive bug fixing and resolution, prioritizing issues based on impact and urgency.
• Adhere to confidentiality and compliance regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• B.S in Computer Science or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in software development, design, coding, and testing.
