Tax Analyst

The role is for an experienced Tax Analyst responsible for US tax compliance, planning, and advisory functions in a remote environment, working with fast-growing global companies.

Location: Remote

Salary: $1,000-$1,200

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of US federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's overall tax position
• Provide expert guidance on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and corporate structures
• Lead the tax provision process (ASC 740) and coordinate with external auditors during financial reviews
• Monitor and interpret changes in US tax legislation and assess the impact on business operations
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
• Oversee and respond to federal and state tax audits, notices, and inquiries
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to support M&A, restructuring, and strategic business initiatives
• Build, mentor, and develop junior tax team members

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax law — non-negotiable
• Demonstrated experience managing tax compliance and planning in a corporate or public accounting environment
• Hands-on experience with ASC 740 income tax provision and reporting
• CPA designation required; advanced degree in Taxation or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; must be comfortable advising and presenting to executive stakeholders
• Must have prior remote work experience, be proficient with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, or similar), and have worked with US-based companies.
