Transportation Broker - Wholesale

Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC) is a growth stage technology and data-driven commercial MGA and insurance wholesaler, focusing on innovation in the insurance market. They aim to be the top source for brokers and agents for insurance products, leveraging user experience, data, and AI/ML.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $90,799—$113,499 USD

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal commercial trucking accounts—up to 40 per week—with premiums ranging from $10,000 to $100,000
• Analyze risk by utilizing loss runs, MVRs, CAB reports, FMCSA data, and other relevant underwriting materials
• Make eligibility and pricing recommendations in alignment with underwriting guidelines and carrier appetites
• Prepare comprehensive market submissions, quote proposals, and/or coverage comparisons
• Communicate effectively with retail agents and internal stakeholders to gather complete and accurate risk data
• Negotiate with carriers to secure competitive terms, leveraging existing market relationships
• Track performance of bound accounts to identify profitability issues or loss trends
• Address billing, endorsement, cancellation, and invoicing issues in partnership with Premium Accounting
• Partner with other teams to support marketing, sales and planning
• Stay up to date on industry trends, DOT/FMCSA regulations, and carrier appetite shifts

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting or brokerage (trucking, commercial auto, or casualty lines preferred)
• Experience in both wholesale and/or retail brokerage settings
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
• Professional designations (e.g., TRS, CIC, CPCU, AU) strongly preferred
• Active Property & Casualty license required; Surplus Lines license is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of agency management systems (e.g., AMS360, IMS) a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
