Vice President, Medical Science & Strategy - Cardiovascular

The role is for a Medical Science & Strategy physician specializing in cardiovascular diseases, supporting clinical research and business growth at Thermo Fisher Scientific's PPD division. It involves strategic proposal development, client engagement, internal training, and regulatory support.

Location: Remote (US)

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality input into RFPs including development strategy, regulatory issues, drug class issues, protocol considerations, team education, client interactions, and identifying business opportunities.
• Support clinical research activities through client engagement, strategic alliance development, client governance, and providing industry-leading product development plans and clinical trial design.
• Provide therapeutic and developmental expertise to internal teams, including indication-specific training, guidance during clinical trials, authoring and reviewing regulatory documents, contributing to feasibility studies, liaising with investigators and KOLs, and mentoring clinical scientists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and working groups to contribute to innovative initiatives.

Requirements

• MD required; board certification preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience leading cardiovascular clinical development programs, including advancing at least one asset from discovery through registration.
• Active medical license preferred but not required.
