VP of Product and Partnerships

uConnect is a mission-driven organization focused on improving access to career services for the US higher education market through its Virtual Career Center platform, used by leading institutions to enhance career engagement and outcomes.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with the CEO to develop and communicate a product roadmap with milestones and success metrics.
• Market & Customer Intelligence: Conduct customer research and analyze market dynamics to inform product prioritization.
• Strategic Partnerships: Manage content partnerships and platform integrations with content providers and technology vendors.
• Internal Enablement & GTM Alignment: Support customer success, marketing, and sales with product messaging and enablement.
• Engineering Collaboration: Work with engineering leadership on planning, scope, and delivery of product features.
• Product Monetization: Develop and implement monetization strategies, including packaging, pricing, and revenue expansion.
• AI & Innovation: Lead the development of AI-powered features and internal AI initiatives.
• Data Architecture & Strategy: Evolve the platform into a data-driven solution with analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Thought Leadership: Represent uConnect externally in the higher education and edtech space.
• Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing product team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership role at a SaaS company.
• Ability to translate executive vision into a structured product roadmap.
• Experience managing end-to-end product requirements from discovery to adoption.
• Experience conducting customer research and market analysis.
• Strong technical understanding to collaborate with engineering teams.
• Data-driven decision-making skills.
• Executive presence and strong communication skills.
• Experience in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
• Familiarity with product tools like Jira, Linear, Productboard, Figma, Notion.
• Track record in product monetization strategies.
• Experience managing content partnerships and platform integrations.
• Vision for applying AI in products and operations.
• Understanding of data architecture and evolving SaaS platforms.
• Thought leadership or influence in higher education, edtech, or career services.
• Background in higher education, edtech, career services, or workforce development is preferred.
